Emerging Technologies
technology is a very rapid moving element that can help us in so many different ways. as quoted in the reading 3-d transistors it is stated that "the prediction that the number of transistors per chip will double roughly every two years." That is a lot concitering we already have enough memory on almost anything that we will never run out for life, and by 2017 it is predicted that the technology will be so great that a single nano chip will have around 30 million silicon rods attached (currently at 8.7 million).
What suprises me about this the most is how much technology we have avalible. Think about it this way, i have a normal 15 megabyte(mb) sd card. it can hold around 1000 full video games, millions of pictures, and hundreds of web documents. in 5 years we may be able to buy sd, memory cards, and hard drives with over 70-100 mb's of storage.
some emerging technologys of a few years ago are already used today, from storage on a computer, to the computer its self. some emerging technologys of 2009 arealready out dated like some computers and phones.
All in all, i think technology is great and will always keep expanding. right now you are using an emerging technology of some years ago.

evaluating websites
1. i think that link #1(Google gulp) is the more reliable source.
3. i think that #2 is the right link because #3 is Wikipedia which is not reliable and 1 does not have proof and site 2 has copyrights
yes the information has made me more decisive in looking for information and how to make sure the webpage is a true and reliable source.

citation
i liked easybib the most because its the easiest to use, however, i feel like all of them were confusing, easybib was the most straight forward to me. i also felt that we needed to look up a lot of pointless information before we could even find the dates or the authors of some of the websites.
